(ANSA) - Vatican City, April 30 - Pope Francis was presented
on Thursday with the gift of a small drone, painted in colours
of the Vatican by students at a Jesuit school in Rome.
The gift was presented to Francis by the pupils aged eight
to 17 during an audience that included the Community of
Christian Life in Italy and the Missionary League for Italian
Students.
That had been highlighted in recent days by the use of
drones following the devastating earthquake in Nepal last
Saturday that killed more than 5,000 people.
"(There) the drones have proved useful to check the
condition of structures (in the earthquake zone) and study paths
from bringing relief to people who need this in remote
villages," the organizers wrote.
