(ANSA) - Rome, July 6 - French Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran,
the Vatican official who announced Pope Francis' election in
2013, died Thursday in the United States at the age of 75.
Francis stressed Tauran's work as an "appreciated advisor
above all thanks to the relations of confidence and esteem which
he succeeded in establishing with the Muslim world".
