Fathers, mothers of migrant families are heroes says pope

(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 13 - The fathers and mothers of migrant and refugees families are heroes, Pope Francis said Thursday in an interview with Vatican media.
    "These fathers and mothers are heroes for me because I find in them the courage of those who risk their lives for the love of their children, for the love of their families," said the pontiff.
    "Mary and Joseph experienced this exile too, this trial, having had to flee into a foreign land because of the violence and power of Herod.
    Francis said he was thinking of the "many fathers, many mothers, many families who flee wars, who are pushed back at the borders of Europe and other places, who live situations of pain, injustice, and who no one takes seriously and are deliberately ignored". (ANSA).
