(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 12 - Pope Francis is "sure" to go to Kyiv
amid the Ukraine war, Vatican Secretary for Relations with
States (foreign minister) Msgr Paul Gallagher said Tuesday.
Asked if Francis might go to Kyiv or Moscow after his upcoming
trip to Canada, Gallagher said "the pope will certainly go to
Kyiv, but we don't know how and when".
Asked if the pontiff was seeking dialogue with Russian President
Vladimir Putin, Gallagher replied: "We have contacts with the
embassy, this is our channel of communication like the
nuncio's." (ANSA).
