(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 30 - The Rome Diocese has expressed "all
its affection and closeness to its Bishop" Pope Francis, who is
receiving hospital treatment for a chest infection, according to
a statement issued Thursday.
The Diocese assured the Pope "unceasing prayer, even stronger at
this difficult time", and wished him "a speedy recovery".
Francis was admitted to Rome's Gemelli hospital on Wednesday
afternoon but tests have ruled out heart problems and pneumonia
and medical staff are optimistic. (ANSA).
