My Argentine friends may be among Hamas victims - pope

(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 15 - Pope Francis has told an Israeli journalist that he fears some of his Argentine friends are among the victims of Hamas's attack on Israel.
    The journalist, Enrique Cymerman, posted on social media a video of the telephone conversation he had with the pontiff on Saturday.
    In it Cymerman, who is also a friend of the pope's, said that many Argentines were among the dead, the wounded, and those taken hostage by Hamas.
    "I know, I know," the pope replied.
    "I think that surely some of my friends are among them".
    Francis also said he was willing to meet the families of the Israeli-Argentine hostages. (ANSA).
