(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 18 - Pope Francis on Sunday greeted
Italian farmers who came to St Peter's at the Vatican's
invitation to urge him to lend his voice to their cause.
"I greet the farmers and the livestock breeders present in the
square," the Pope said at his regular Sunday Angelus prayer and
blessing.
The 'Italian Farmers', group, one of several who have continued
their protest despite government income tax concessions, brought
their tractors and a cow to St Peter's and donated one of the
vehicles to the Argentine pontiff. (ANSA).
