(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 2 - Pope Francis will attend a conference
in the Vatican on May 10 on boosting birth rates, the Holy See
Press Office said Thursday.
"The Prefecture of the Papal Household informs that on the
morning of 10 May next, at the Auditorium in Via della
Conciliazione, Pope Francis will participate in the States
General of Natality, the theme of which will be 'Being there.
More youth, more future'", it said.
Italy is among the western countries seeking to encourage women
to have more children, and has given the families minister a
birth rate boosting brief. (ANSA).
