(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 13 - Those who makes wars around the world think they are powerful but in reality they are miserable wretches, Pope Francis said Thursday.
"The violence provoked by wars clearly shows how much arrogance moves those who consider themselves powerful before men, while they are miserable in the eyes of God", said the Pope in his Message for the Day of the Poor to be celebrated on 17 November.
"How many new poor are produced by this bad policy made with weapons, how many innocent victims! Yet, we cannot back down.
"The Lord's disciples know that each one of these little ones bears the imprint of the face of the Son of God, and our solidarity and the sign of Christian charity must reach each one". (ANSA).
