(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 14 - Pope Francis replied "still alive"
when Premier Giorgia Meloni asked him how he was on welcoming
him to the G7 summit in Puglia Friday.
"Still alive, me too" replied the premier, to which the
Argentine pontiff replied "that makes two of us".
"Happy to meet you again," said the 87-year-old Francis as he
got off the helicopter, to which the 47-year-old Meloni replied:
"it's a great, great pleasure to have you here. Your presence if
a great gift."
Getting on to a golf cart at the Borgo Egnazia resort venue for
the summit, the pope let out a laugh saying "a nice laugh", to
which the premier replied "we always laugh".
Francis is set to address a session of AI at the summit, and
have 10 bilateral meetings with world leaders. (ANSA).
