(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 11 - Pope Francis on Sunday renewed his
plea for world peace at his weekly Angelus prayer.
"We have recalled in these days the anniversary of the atomic
bombing of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki," he said.
"And while we continue to recommend to the Lord the victims of
those events and of all wars, we renew our intense prayer for
peace, specially in the martyred Ukraine, in the Middle East,
Palestine, Israel, in Sudan and Myanmar." (ANSA).
