(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 28 - The Mediterranean Sea, "a place of
communication between populations and civilizations, has become
a cemetery", Pope Francis told a General Audience on Wednesday.
"And the tragedy is that many, the majority of these victims,
could have been saved.
"It is necessary to say this clearly: some are operating
systematically and with every means available to push back
migrants.
"And this, when it's done with conscience and responsibility, is
a grave sin", said the pontiff. (ANSA).
