(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 4 - Pope Francis told authorities in
Indonesia on Wednesday, the first full day of his visit to the
Muslim-majority country, that in the world "there are cases in
which faith in God is constantly brought up, but often to be
unfortunately manipulated and to be used not to build peace,
communion, dialogue, respect, cooperation, fraternity but to sow
divisions and boost hatred".
"In other contexts, instead, it is believed that we can or
should forego to search the blessing of God, deeming it
superfluous to the human being and to civil society, which
should promote themselves with their own forces but which, in
doing so, often meet with frustration and failure", he noted.
