(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 26 - Pope Francis on Thursday blasted the
arms trade and made an appeal to "stop colonizing people with
weapons" in his Angelus address on Saint Stephen's Day.
"Let us work for disarmament, let us work against hunger,
against diseases, against child labor," he said.
The Argentine pontiff also called for "peace in the whole world,
especially in war-torn Ukraine, Gaza, Israel, Myanmar, North
Kivu, and many other countries at war."
