Pope extremely happy at discharge, never lost sense of humor

(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 22 - Pope Francis was extremely happy to get the news that he is to be discharged after a bout of pneumonia from a Rome hospital back to the Vatican Sunday and he has never lost his sense of humour, his doctors told reporters Saturday.
"He was very happy, he had been asking us for three or four days when he could go home". the doctors treating the 88-year-old Argentine pontiff at Gemelli Hospital described his reaction today to the announcement that he will be released from the hospital tomorrow.
"As for his mood during this period - observed Prof. Sergio Alfieri - certainly when he was in more pain maybe he reacted less.
"But then when we went to listen to his chest and asked him how he was and he answered 'I'm still alive' we understood that he was still well and had also regained his good mood". (ANSA).
