(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 26 - Chancellor Olaf Scholz's spokesman
Wolfgang Buechner said Monday that "Italy is a country very
friendly to Europe, inhabited by citizens who are very friendly
to Europe, and we don't expect this to change" after the advent
to power of a rightwing government following Sunday's general
election.
He added that he could not make any further comment since the
final election results were not yet out.
