(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 24 - Premier Giorgia Meloni told the Group
of Seven Friday that the west must keep the pressure on Russia
high over its invasion of Ukraine, sources said.
She also underscored the importance of accelerating a platform
of coordination for reconstruction, on which Italy will have a
conference of its own in April.
In other remarks in her speech, the Italian premier underscored
the importance of combating Russian President Vladimir Putin's
false narrative on the war.
She said efforts must be redoubled to bring the global south
closer, a part of the world that suffers more from Moscow's
propaganda.
Meloni also stressed that Thursday's UN resolution on the war
decreed Moscow's isolation. (ANSA).
