(ANSA) - ROME, APR 27 - Premier Giorgia Meloni and Prime
Minister Rishi Sunak on Thursday signed a memorandum on defence
and migrants after UK-Italy bilateral talks at Downing Street.
The memorandum of understanding aims to boost dialogue and
strategic collaboration between Italy and the UK in full
coherence and complementarity with Italy's membership of the EU,
Italian sources said.
The memorandum lays out joint initiatives in priority areas
including security and defence, energy, climate and the
environment, migration, the economy, science and innovation, and
helps consolidate the broad agreements with London on the
international level, the sources said. (ANSA).
