(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 25 - Deputy Premier and Transport Minister
Matteo Salvini on Monday told Germany to stop funding migrant
rescue and assistance NGOs in Italy.
'It is a disgrace, an outrage and a hostile act that foreign
countries are financing foreign private associations to bring
illegal immigrants to Italy," Salvini said at the inauguration
of the 5th lane of the A8 motorway in Lainate near Milan.
"It is as if Italy were financing associations in France,
Germany, or who knows where to facilitate irregularities," he
added, "and I count on the German government to stop financing
those who participate in an unacceptable flow of irregular
immigrants into our country."
