(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 29 - Turkish President Recep Tayyip
Erdogan on Wednesday urged Premier Giorgia Meloni to recognise a
Palestinian state.
Erdogan said over the phone he hopes that Italy will be "on the
right side of history", following the example of Spain, Ireland
and Norway in recognising Palestine as a state.
Erdogan added that "pressure should be increased to stop
Israel's brutal attacks on Palestine and force the Israeli
administration to comply with international law", reported the
Ankara Republic Presidency. (ANSA).
