G7 statement condemns violation of women's, LGBT rights

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 14 - The final statement of the Group of Seven summit in Italy, which ANSA has seen, condemns the violation of women's and LGBT rights.
    The statement voices "strong concern for the reduction of the rights of women, girls and LGBTQIA+ people all over the world, in particular at times of crisis".
    It said "we condemn all violations and abuse of their human rights and basic freedoms." The G7 reaffirms "a commitment towards gender equality," said the statement. (ANSA).
