Migrant boat capsizes off Calabria coast, 50 missing

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 17 - About fifty migrants are missing after the sailing boat on which they were travelling capsized about one hundred miles off the coast of Calabria, Italian coastguard sources said Monday.
    A merchant ship came to the boat's rescue and subsequently transferred the 12 surviving migrants onto a Coast Guard unit that then landed in Roccella Ionica in Calabria.
    The body of a woman who died after falling into the sea also arrived in port.
    The search for the missing persons has now been activated, but, at the moment, none have been recovered. (ANSA).
