Russian attack on children's hospital is war crime - Italy

(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 8 - Giovanbattista Fazzolari, the cabinet undersecretary for implementation of the government's programme, described the Russian attack on a Kyiv children's hospital during strikes on Ukraine that killed at least 20 people and injured dozens on Monday as a war crime.
    "The Russian missile attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv is a despicable war crime that adds to the Putin regime's very long series of crimes," said Fazzolari.
    "The Russian Federation strategy to deliberately attack the civilian population in Ukraine to try to break the population's resistance is a barbarity that deserves the strongest condemnation".
    He also expressed "closeness and solidarity with the Ukrainian people". (ANSA).
