(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 11 - The Israeli army said Friday it would
carry out an in-depth investigation, at the highest level, of
IDF attacks on UNIFIL peacekeeping bases in Lebanon.
There have been several attacks on UNIFIL bases in the last two
days and two Indonesian and two Sri Lankan soldiers have been
hurt, one seriously.
Defence Minister Guido Crosetto has described the incidents as a
possible war crime and has insisted that Italy's UNIFIL
contingent is staying put and will in to give in to Israeli
attacks and calls to withdraw. (ANSA).
