(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 14 - The Italian contingent in UNIFIL is
not going to flee Lebanon amid Israeli attacks and Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demand to pull out, and a final
decision on any possible withdrawal is up to the United Nations,
Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Monday.
"We reiterated that what happened is unacceptable.
We are not fleeing from places where there are difficulties",
said the Forza Italia leader after a summit on the Balkans in
Berlin.
"Our soldiers have always done their duty, they are not
Hezbollah terrorists", he added. (ANSA).
