(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 16 - Defence Minister Guido Crosetto said
Wednesday Italy was in favour of increasing the number of UNIFIL
soldiers in Lebanon but only if Israel withdraws.
Asked about a possible increase in the UNIFIL contingent,
Crosetto told Rai TV: "If it can save from war, why not? Now
there are ten thousand people and Italy is one of the major

increase in the contingent if there was peace in exchange and
the withdrawal of Israeli troops". (ANSA).
