(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 22 - Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister
on Tuesday unveiled 25 million euros in funding for Lebanon and
Gaza from Italy at the Development G7 summit in Pescara.
"We have decided that during this afternoon's meeting we will
allocate an emergency humanitarian commitment from Italy: 10
million euros for the population of Lebanon, 10 million in
humanitarian aid to Gaza and support of 5 million for the PNA
plan for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip," he said in
opening the summit.
"I believe that we should also reflect on giving life to a
conference like the one in Ukraine for reconstruction, to do it
also for Gaza, for Lebanon and for those parts of northern
Israel that have been hit". (ANSA).
