(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 13 - On Monday three Rome high schools -
the Visconti, Albertelli and Enzo Rossi institutes - were being
occupied by students to show solidarity with the Palestinian
cause after the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hamas.
The actions come after the Faculty of Political Science at La
Sapienza University in Rome was occupied by pro-Palestinian
students last week.
"The students took a courageous decision, a strong protest to
take a position on everything that is happening inside and
outside our country," said the OSA student movement.
"In continuity with political science (faculty action), schools
have been occupied in solidarity with the Palestinian people, in
protest against our government's and university institutions'
support for Israel and against the occupation of Palestinian
territory which has been going on for more than 75 years".
