(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 11 - Football's international and European governing bodies FIFA and UEFA have written to the Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC) warning that Italy could face penalties if draft legislation overhauling the FIGC is approved.
An amendment presented by Forza Italia MP Giorgio Mulè to a decree on education and sport is change the FIGC's structure and give more autonomy to the Serie A League.
The letter, which ANSA has seen, said the FIGC faces a suspension if the measure is approved in its current form or a one that is modified but substantially the same.
