(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 15 - Two elderly Italian male mushroom
hunters died in the same mountain range in Abruzzo on Sunday,
bringing the wekend death toll for Italian shroomers to four.
An 82-year-old fell from Corropoli (Teramo) fell to his death at
Ceppo on Sunday morning and an 85-year-old from Tortoreto
(Teramo) fell into a gulch near Valle Castellana Sunday
afternoon.
Fellow mushroom hunters who were with the two men could do
nothing for them. The bodies have been given back to the
families.
On Saturday an elderly women fell to her death while shrooming
near Piacenza and an elderly man met the same fate in the
Bolognese Appenines. (ANSA).
