(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 22 - Deputy Premier, Foreign Minister and
centre-right post Berlusconi Forza Italia (FI) leader Antonio
Tajani said Friday Italy would decide with its Group of Seven
(G7) allies on Monday what position to take regarding the
International Criminal Court's (ICC) arrest warrants for Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his former defence minister
Yoav Gallant and Hamas's late military chief Mohammed Deif over
the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks and the subsequent Gaza war.
"We respect and support the ICC but we are convinced that what
it must play is a legal and not a political role", said Tajani.
