(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 2 - The Apostolic Nuncio to Syria,
Cardinal Mario Zenari, told ANSA on Monday that he is in daily
contact with bishops, priests and nuns in Aleppo where the
situation is extremely difficult.
"I am in contact every day, every hour, with bishops, clerics,
nuns and priests in Aleppo", the pope's nuncio in Damascus told
ANSA.
"In some areas, the calm is suspicious, in others there is
gunfire, missile strikes, as occurred last night at the Holy
Land College", he noted, referring to a Russian raid that struck
the Franciscan facility on Sunday.
The situation, he said, "is difficult". (ANSA).
