3,234 migrants identified on the Balkan route: Piantedosi

In the current complex international scenario and in light of the evolution of the terrorist threat, border controls with Slovenia have already yielded significant results in terms of combating human trafficking, as well as allowing us to more effectively prevent the entry into our territory of individuals who pose a threat to national security," said the Italian minister of Interior Piantedosi. Until now, thanks to the controls the authorities checked over 419 thousand people, tracing 3,234 irregular migrants. (ANSA).
