(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 03 AGO - The persimmon tree that survived
the atomic bombing of Nagasaki in San Giovanni Park in Trieste
marks the starting point of the journey for the Kaki Tree
Project association. After a stop in Piazza Unità d'Italia, the
group will stop in Gorizia.
They will continue to Radlje ob Dravi (Slovenia), Graz
(Austria), and Langenwang (Austria), arriving on August 9 - the
anniversary of the atomic bombing - in Vienna, where a persimmon
has been planted in the city park of Blumengärten Hirschstetten;
a second will be planted in the area facing the United Nations
