(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 17 LUG - "Friuli Venezia Giulia continues to work in closer synergy with Croatia to strengthen a highly strategic relationship for Italy and the rest of Europe. We address numerous topics, such as the cross-border Hydrogen Valley project, managing migration along the Balkan route, and protecting Italian and Croatian linguistic minorities. I extend particular thanks to Foreign Minister Grlić-Radman and the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Italy, Jasen Mesić, for the collaboration established over the years with Italy and FVG, which maintains a fundamental role in linking the two countries and is ready to offer its contribution." That was stated in Trieste by the governor of FVG, Massimiliano Fedriga, during his meeting with the Croatian delegation led by Grlić-Radman.
Regarding the hydrogen valley, which involves the two countries and Slovenia, Fedriga described it as "a challenge that starts from these territories, is of interest to all of Europe, and aims to promote sustainable energy procurement and supply source enhancement." The governor later agreed with the Croatian minister on the benefits of cooperation between Italy and Croatia in managing immigration. Minister Grlić-Radman assured support from Croatia to help Italy cope with the issue. (ANSA).
