Heavy traffic on the Upper Adriatic highways on Pentecost

Yellow sticker is forecast from tomorrow through Tuesday.

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 16 MAG - Five "yellow sticker" days are forecast to occur on a section of Autostrade Alto Adriatico's network on Sunday, May 19, the Pentecost holiday, which is very popular in some European countries.
Forecasts from the Concessionaire indicate a significant increase in traffic starting tomorrow, particularly toward Trieste on the A4 and the A57. This congestion could lead to queues on the Terraglio-Bivio A57/A27 section during the morning and near the junctions toward the seaside resorts along the A4 (Venice-Trieste) during the afternoon.
This scenario—as far as the A4 is concerned and again toward Trieste—will also occur on Saturday, 18. On Sunday, 19, traffic is expected to remain heavy only during the morning along the same route.
Heavy traffic, as forecasted by Alto Adriatico, is expected to persist on Monday, 20, and Tuesday, 21. This is due to the arrival of heavy vehicles from the borders and the first returns of tourists from beyond the Alps.
This will result in heavy traffic on the A4, heading towards Venice in the morning and afternoon, towards Trieste, and on the A28, heading towards Portogruaro, on Monday.
Tuesday's returns from Pentecost will still cause congestion, with possible queues along the Venice-Trieste roadway. (ANSA).
