(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 29 MAG - Four days of heavy traffic are expected on the highway network managed by Autostrade Alto Adriatico (Upper Adriatic Highways). The anniversary of Corpus Christi," the concessionaire underlines, "marks the beginning of a new holiday season that will attract thousands of vacationers from Austria and Germany to the Friuli and Veneto coasts. This year, it will coincide with significant events, such as the concerts of Vasco Rossi in Bibione and Ultimo in Trieste, both scheduled for Sunday evening.
Starting tomorrow, in the morning, yellow stickers will be reported on both directions of the A4 and red stickers, with possible queues, on the A23 in the section between Udine Sud and Palmanova Junctions for the arrival of foreign tourists heading to the seaside resorts. Heavy flows will also occur in the afternoon on the A28 towards Portogruaro.
On Friday, after a morning in which there should be no particular criticality, traffic could increase again on the A4 in both directions, with possible queues at the Lisert barrier on the way out, also due to the return of commercial carriers to Eastern Europe.
On Saturday, the A4 will still have a yellow sticker, particularly during the evening, with possible queues at the Latisana and Portogruaro Junctions. Sunday will be marked by a mix of arrivals to the seaside resorts and those affected by concerts and returns, with yellow stickers until late evening.
