(ANSA) - ROME, 23 SET - Berlin has earmarked 790,000 euros
for German non-governmental organisation (NGO) Sos Humanity in
support of rescue operations for migrants and refugees in
distress in the central Mediterranean, the organisation's
"land-sea" communication coordinator Lukas Kaldenhoff told ANSA
on Saturday.
Kaldenhoff described the sum as "meagre" with respect to
resources available at European level, and said it was
sufficient to cover just a quarter of SOS Humanity's annual
requirements.
