(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 24 - The Federal Statistical Office
(Destatis) reported that Germany's GDP increased by 0.2% in the
first quarter of 2024 compared to the fourth quarter of 2023
after accounting for price, seasonal, and calendar variations.
"After GDP contracted at the end of 2023, the German economy
began 2024 with positive growth," says Ruth Brand, President of
the Federal Statistical Office. (ANSA).
