Unicredit confirms control on 9% of Commerzbank

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEP 11 - UniCredit confirmed that it has acquired an equity stake equivalent to approximately 9% of Commerzbank AG's share capital. The 4. 49%, according to the bank, was purchased as part of an accelerated bookbuildoffer conducted on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany, in line with the latter's intention to reduce its stake in Commerzbank AG, while the remainder was purchased through market transactions.
