(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEP 17 - The ZEW Indicator of Economic Sentiment for Germany fell significantly again in the September 2024 survey, the ZEW Institute reported today. At 3. 6 points, it is 15.6 points lower than the August value. The assessment of Germany's economic situation has also worsened. The corresponding indicator fell 7.2 points, reaching a new low of -84.5 points. As a result, the current economic situation has been assessed at its lowest level since May 2020, ZEW noted.
"The hope for a swift improvement in the economic situation is visibly fading. In the latest survey, we once again observe a noticeable decline in economic expectations for Germany," said ZEW President Professor Achim Wambach on the survey results.
