Germany's Scholz to face confidence vote on Dec 16: party

(ANSA-AFP) - BERLIN, NOV 12 - German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will face a confidence vote on December 16, paving the way for an early general election in February, the leader of Scholz's Social Democrats (SPD) in parliament said on Tuesday. "On December 16, at the beginning of the week's session, the confidence vote will be debated and voted on," Rolf Muetzenich told reporters. (ANSA-AFP).
