Schengen treaty suspended for at least 10 days

Redazione Ansa

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 21 OTT - Slovenia reinstated border controls with Croatia and Hungary at midnight, temporarily suspending the Schengen Treaty on free movement. A decision taken because of security dangers and terrorist threats related to the flow of migrants along the Balkan route. A similar measure was taken by Italy on its border with Slovenia, and by nine other EU countries in light of the new armed conflict in the Middle East. The restrictive measure on border controls will remain in effect for at least 10 days, with the possibility of extension. (ANSA).
