(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUN 28 - "President Meloni and the ruling
majority face critical decisions, knowing that choosing the path
of national interest means avoiding the disintegrationist and
illiberal tendencies of other European right-wing parties.
Clarity and no ambiguity are required because a portion of the
population continues to favour Hungary, a country that has an
ambiguous relationship with Russia, to say the least, on the
energy front and elsewhere," said Tatiana Rojc, a Democratic
Party senator, at Palazzo Madama.
Russian "petrol and diesel know no borders, producing resources
useful for maintaining and expanding Russian influence in the
Balkans. As a result, we request clear choices and prompt action
to protect European and national interests. We need, for
example, measures to support our ports, which are at risk of
severe marginalisation as a result of the crisis caused by the
Houti attacks in the Red Sea," Rojc added. (ANSA).
