EU intensifies legal action against Hungary

Because of the Hungarian "national sovereignty law"

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, OCT 3 - Brussels has stepped up its legal action against Hungary's "national sovereignty law," arguing it violates a wide range of fundamental rights, Euronews reports.
The European Commission has taken Hungary to court over a highly contentious law that Budapest claims is necessary to protect "national sovereignty," but which NGOs have condemned as a dangerous tool for targeting and eventually silencing opposing voices. The lawsuit is the next step in the Commission's legal action, which began in February, in response to Budapest's "unsatisfactory" answers. (ANSA).
