(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUN 22 - ENTSO-E is in the process of collecting technical data from the affected Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and will provide more information soon on the blackout that hit large parts of the Balkans yesterday. A detailed investigation, following the Incident Classification Scale methodology, will be conducted by ENTSO-E's Systems Operations Committee with the assistance of an expert panel in the coming weeks.
On 21 June 2024, at approximately 12:20, a significant grid incident occurred in the South-Eastern part of the Continental Europe power system, leading to a blackout in Albania, Montenegro, and Bosnia-Herzegovina, and a partial blackout in Croatia, ENTSO-E recalled. The affected Transmission System Operators (TSOs), with support from neighboring TSOs, restored power within about two hours to minimize the disruption's impact on consumers. (ANSA).
