(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUN 22 - ENTSO-E is in the process of
collecting technical data from the affected Transmission System
Operators (TSOs) and will provide more information soon on the
blackout that hit large parts of the Balkans yesterday. A
detailed investigation, following the Incident Classification
Scale methodology, will be conducted by ENTSO-E's Systems
Operations Committee with the assistance of an expert panel in
the coming weeks.
On 21 June 2024, at approximately 12:20, a significant grid
incident occurred in the South-Eastern part of the Continental
Europe power system, leading to a blackout in Albania,
Montenegro, and Bosnia-Herzegovina, and a partial blackout in
Croatia, ENTSO-E recalled. The affected Transmission System
Operators (TSOs), with support from neighboring TSOs, restored
power within about two hours to minimize the disruption's impact
on consumers. (ANSA).
