(ANSA) - VILNIUS, 13 MAR - "We greatly appreciate Romania's
leadership and assistance for Moldova's European integration. In
the European Union we must take concrete measures against all
those who try to destabilize the situation in the country or to
stop the process of European integration.
Lithuania and Romania
cooperate in this sense in various international formats."
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis said today at
the end of a bilateral meeting with his Romanian counterpart
Bogdan Aurescu.
Landsbergis added that Lithuania supports Romania's efforts
to increase Moldova's energy security by ensuring alternative
supplies and significant financial and humanitarian support. The
ministers also agreed to strengthen NATO's eastern border and
support its importance during Atlantic Alliance's summit
scheduled for next July in Vilnius. (ANSA).
