FM Tajani meets Moldova's counterpart Popescu

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEP 15 - Antonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, met with Nicu Popescu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, at Palazzo Chigi today. Minister Tajani emphasised the strong ties of friendship between Italy and Moldova, which are founded on a natural cultural affinity and further strengthened by the presence of the largest Moldovan community outside of Moldova in Italy. Satisfaction was expressed with the growth of economic relations: in 2022 trade reached record levels, with an increase of 38.2% compared to the previous year. (ANSA).
