(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEP 26 - Josep Borrell, the High
Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security
Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, held an
informal meeting with Western Balkans leaders in New York on
Wednesday, on the sidelines of the United Nations General
Assembly, according to the European Union External Action
Service. Borrell emphasised that leaders must make bold,
strategic decisions to advance their European aspirations.
The discussion focused on pressing geopolitical issues,
particularly the negative consequences of Russia's aggression
against Ukraine and China's efforts to expand its economic
influence. High Representative Borrell and Western Balkans
leaders discussed the importance of resilience building,
emphasising the need for strategic alignment with the European
Union to ensure regional stability. (ANSA).
