(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 19 LUG - This Saturday, certain sections of the highway network managed by Autostrade Alto Adriatico will be marked by a red "sticker" traffic alert.
Approximately 179,000 vehicles are expected to pass through the network, with potential traffic jams not only near the short construction section of the third lane between Portogruaro and Alvisopoli but also at exits for beach destinations and the Trieste-Lisert toll barrier.
About 20,000 vehicles are anticipated to exit at the Lisert barrier. The highway concessionaire announced that if queues exceed 3 kilometers, a bypass on the A34 (Villesse-Gorizia) will be activated.
Attention is also advised at the Latisana exit, where traffic increased by 18% last Saturday to over 20,000 vehicles compared to the same Saturday a year ago.
Traffic will be hefty throughout most of the day on the A4 in both directions and on the A57 (Mestre Bypass) towards Trieste.
Traffic will slightly decrease on Sunday, with an expected 169,000 transits. The day will be marked by a yellow "sticker" traffic alert, with heavy traffic in the morning on the A23 (Udine Sud-Palmanova) towards Palmanova Junction, on the A28 (Conegliano-Portogruaro) towards Portogruaro, and on the A4 with potential queues towards Trieste that could last until late afternoon due to commuters heading to the seaside and vacationers traveling to Slovenia and Croatia.
